Carati Jewelry

A Montréal atelier, online.

Carati Jewelry

The brand.

Carati is a fine jewellery house based in Montréal, founded by master craftsman Vicken Papazian. The pieces are designed and set in-house, drawing on a family tradition of stone setting. Six named collections, each with its own quiet story. The work sits in territory most ecommerce sites struggle with, fine jewellery, where the difference between expensive and exquisite is communicated almost entirely through restraint.

The brief.

The brand identity was already in place when Carati came to The Ecommerce Handywoman. A custom wordmark, a refined palette of deep blue against platinum and silver tones, a clear visual language. The work the identity team had done was excellent. The job of the website was to live up to it.

Most jewellery sites overdo it. Crowded grids, busy badges, photography that competes with the product instead of serving it. Carati needed the opposite: a Shopify store with the same restraint as the brand itself, where the pieces could breathe and the craftsmanship could speak for itself.

From intuitive navigation to stunning visuals, Lara transformed my vision into an immersive online experience that will set a new standard in Canada’s jewelry market. I am incredibly grateful for her dedication and talent in making my website nothing short of perfect!

The website.

The site is built around the brand's six collections, Fiora, Waves, Toi et Moi, Royal Harmony, Bloom, Eclipse, each presented as a chapter in its own right rather than competing for attention. Each one has its own world. Nothing fights for the spotlight.

Product pages do the part fine jewellery deserves. The technical detail a fine jewellery customer expects is there, diamond weight, clarity, setting type, without cluttering the page. Below the piece, we introduce the Montréal atelier itself: the studio, the craft, an invitation to visit. By the time a visitor is deciding whether to click, they already know what kind of brand they're buying from.
